The  ProKarton Foundation aims to promote  beverage cartons as a modern answer to the needs of both food industry and thirsty consumers. Beverage cartons are highly recognized as a package which not only perfectly protects goods packed but it also enjoyed a very limited impact on the natural environment. These advantages stipulate us to convince the general public to beverage cartons as the most appropriate modern package for liquid food.

The ProKarton Foundation believes are based on solid rules of the sustainable development erected by UN conference in Rio de Janeiro on 1992. In our daily activities we will adopt following rules:

• beverage cartons are not the problem, vice versa, they are the salvation of the all packaging challenges;
• the recovery & recycling of the postconsumer carton waste should be effected in the efficient way;
• the responsibility of the environmental impact goes to all “packaging chain” participants, including consumers, trade and governments and not only to industry;
• "Voluntary Agreement" concept must be a permanent solution for the Polish recovery scheme for beverage cartons.

The ProKarton Foundation in its activities cooperate with all Polish industry organizations in the area of both food industry and packaging industry. We will be monitoring the development of Polish legal framework covering our area of focus. ProKarton will cooperate also with international appropriate organizations, watching EU progress in this field.
