The ProKarton Foundation was established in 2011 by three manufacturers of food and beverage carton packaging solutions: Tetra Pak, SIG Combibloc and Elopak.
Our aims is to promote food and beverage cartons as safe, functional, circular and sustainable packaging solutions. We also work towards raising environmental awareness of the Polish society. In our opinion education is crucial to make people aware of how properly collect the used beverage cartons. If collected to the yellow container, more of them will be recycled.
The ProKarton Foundation takes an active part in creating regulations which deliver the sustainable solutions and level playing field. We participate in public consultations and monitor changes in the national and European regulations in the area of packaging and waste management.
We are one of the ten national associations representing the food and beverage carton industry in the EU. We work closely with The Food and Beverage Carton Alliance (FBCA, former: ACE) – a global platform uniting food and beverage carton manufacturers and their paperboard suppliers.
